What would your life be like if you:
- Let go of “what was” in favor of “what is” and “what can be”?
- Understood that everything in life happens for a reason, including the loss you just experienced.
- Believed that you could create a magnificently unique and satisfying future in all areas of your life?
- Knew that nothing of value can really be lost?
- Embraced the reality that you are the creative source of your own life experience?
Often people view loss as a bad thing… something that should not be happening to them. Much distress is caused by this view. Loss is experienced most intensely when the presence of fear or other strong emotions such as anger and sadness is greater than the presence of your Essence. So, the journey of going beyond loss to embracing life is very much about:
- Liberating Essence
- Aligning with your core values
- Crafting a compelling vision of the future, and
- Taking small steps toward that vision
Truly letting go of the past involves embracing and learning from what was. Being willing to reap the wisdom you gained allows it to serve you in the future. The key that unlocks the freedom to move forward lies in healthy doses of self-compassion and love, combined with honoring and celebrating what you lost.
You may have doubts that what lies ahead will not measure up to what you have already experienced. Or, you may think that the future has to be a reflection and extension of the past. This need not be so. Infinite possibilities exist for you to create a magnificent life that is every bit as satisfying, if not more, than the one you previously had. This journey will require you to challenge some of your closely held beliefs and thoughts on “how life is supposed to be”. So instead of stopping yourself before you even begin, I encourage you to doubt your doubts and open your mind and your heart to the exceptional life that is waiting for you.
